@blackbird: The texture was weird and made my stomach turn...I may be too sensitive, but I got freaked out about food poisoning and tossed them :(

the beef was probably dyed, then. I've had meatballs and cabbage rolls like that that still stay a little pink inside. But if they are HOT, they i would say they are cooked. Do they have a raw texture to them? I feel like I Know when meat is cooked, when I put it in my mouth

@lindseykaye: I am at work now, so no. They were in tomato sauce but the color is definitely that raw beef color.

I would check them with a thermometer. When you cut them open, are they steaming hot?

Do you have a meat thermometer? Are these cabbage rolls made with a tomato sauce in the beef mixture? That may be keeping them pink even though they are hot enough and fully cooked.

A friend made us stuffed cabbage rolls for a meal swap. We cooked the two hours last night and they are STILL pink (from refrigerated, not frozen. I just nuked them and still pink...are they safe to eat? I never make these myself so I don't know what is normal :(
