Try hand expressing. It can be a challenge to get a good rhythm but once you do, it can really help. The videos linked here were really helpful to me (the hand expression and maximizing milk production in particular): http://newborns.stanford.edu/Breastfeeding/HandExpression.html

uh oh... keep up with the heat before pumping, massage during pumping, and pump every 2 hours... clear that blockage!

Forgive me if I missed any previous posts about EPing, but can you have LO nurse on that side to empty? When I had a clogged duct, nothing could get it to pass except LO!

I'm an eper and got hit with some wonky virus on monday night but continued to pump my usual 3x a day. My supply still got hit (probably due to stress, lack of food and tylenol??). Now that I'm 100% better, i can't seem to fully empty out my left breast! my right one feels very deflated and i get 4oz, while my right one still feels slightly firm and i only get 2oz.
I've tried massaging, warm compress, hot showers... i've ordered new tubes for my Ameda but they haven't come in yet. Any recommendations? I'm afraid that if I don't start emptying them out fast I'm going to lose even more supply! Help! =(
