You can't saturate the straps, but what you can do is "brush" them with a wet toothbrush and some dish soap or dishwasher detergent.

@Periwinkle: what if you put it in direct sun for awhile? The sun does wonders for stains, so maybe it could help with odors too. Although, I'm not sure if it is ok to leave it exposed like that? But then again, if a car seat can sit in a hot car for hours, maybe it is ok?

Thanks all! I'm almost done putting it together again. The only problem is that is still smells a bit- don't think I got the straps as clean as I could have so may need to do a re-wash tomorrow.

There seems to be some conflicting information out there, but does anyone know if it's safe to use a mild cleanser on the straps? Or just water?

Yuck, so sorry to hear that! I would try YouTube, I did a boulevard once which is similar but it was so long ago I dying have any pointers. I actually wound up calling britax come to think of it and a lady there walked me through it so maybe try that.

I took apart mine to wash it at one point, and it was like a puzzle putting it back together. Unfortunately, I resorted to looking at the manual. Good luck!

Well, it happened. LO had a major projectile vomit session while in the car today. I think his vomit was just food related and not the beginning of something else (I hope!), so that's making me feel better. I was so scared for him and watching him that sad was beyond terrible.

After an hour, I have finished cleaning the seat and all parts, but will have to reassble when all parts are dry. I took some pictures while I disassembled, but of course I'm not sure I can remember where everything goes.

Above and beyond looking up the manual online (oh, yeah, I traveling solo with LO right now!), does anyone have any tips for putting the carseat back together properly? We have a Britax Pavilion.

Ugh.
