I love my GT. The hand brake alone is worth the extra cost.

I had the regular city mini and used it as our primary mode of transit for two years (city living, four seasons, walks/outings/errands). I never felt like I needed the GT.

@HazelEyes: I went through this exact dilemma. Even though I wasn't sure I would run with a double, we do a lot of outdoor activities with the kids where I need a stroller than can handle off road, so I thought I needed a BOB, but I knew I wouldn't want to deal with the massive double BOB at places like the mall or a children's museum. I almost bought two doubles. But then I found the City Mini GT and it is seriously the best of both worlds. Off roads easily, but still small enough to fit through a standard door way. I love it!!

We have a GT (single) and we love it! It's been a great and very rugged, smooth stroller so far.

We have the GT and like it. It is pretty rugged...we can take it on unpaved walks/hikes.

I went back and forth and just decided to get the double GT. We have the single GT, and I love the adjustable handle bar (I'm short) and the hand brake, features that the regular city mini doesn't have. I tried to find a double GT on Craigslist without any luck, so we ended up buying a brand new one. The good news is that they are coming out with a new model this year, so many retailers have them on sale right now. According to my local baby store, the only difference in the new version is new colors.

GT! We have the single version and the double and I love them both! I've tried the regular City Mini and was not a fan of the double wheel at the front - it just doesn't handle as nicely as the GT. It's not that much more to have the GT so unless finances were really tight, I'd definitely go with the GT!

I had the single version of the city mini before getting the GT. I loved the city mini but upgraded because the wheels were not good enough in the snow, and we live in Boston with a walking commute. The GT has worked out much better in that regard. If you don't need the better wheels, I'd just get the regular one. It is lighter weight and most of the rest of the features are the same. My favorite things about the GT are the wheels and the hand brake.

@danda: I have a single bob but am looking for a double stroller--sorry, failed to include that! I LOVE the BOB, but don't see myself paying for a double BOB, nor do I see myself running with the double.

You already have a single bob and are adding a single City Mini or GT? We were in that situation and got the City Mini since it is lighter weight than the GT. We figure if we need "rugged" we can use the BOB and if we don't the City Mini is nice and lightweight.

So I"ve asked a few friends with twins and second kids and they seem to all like the Citi Mini for ease and the ability to go through doorways.

For J our favorite stroller is the BOB, and honestly we rarely use our UB G-Luxe (though I love it!) mainly because of the smooth ride of the bike tires. I don't know anyone with the GT, but I"m wondering if that makes more sense for us? Although I"m about to go meet someone for a used CM for $180--so do I suck it up, or try and figure out finding a GT? AH!
