@mrs. bird: I'm super fair too and I found a pair of nude shoes that work with my skin tone. They are by Jessica Simpson and the color is dove. I'm going to see if I can find a picture!

ETA: I can only find the nude color online. Those are much darker than mine.

@mrs. bird: When in doubt, go for structure! Or create it with a great belt! I like the idea of a close-fitting cardi with this dress (the smooth sweater will be a great mix of texture with the texture of the dress. I think either navy or charcoal would work, but I am leaning toward the charcoal (that, with your jewelry and nude shoes will really let the dress take center stage in your ensemble!).

I would avoid a cropped jacket so that you don't cut your body in half with 2 horizontal lines, i.e., the bottom of the jacket and the waist seam of the dress (that will make you look shorter).

@mrs. bird: i was thinking blazer in charcoal! i love that color with yellow or orange to contrast if you have any fun jewelry in those colors. i think nude shoes would look good, too!

@MsLipGloss: ooooook, i always look so awful if 'nude' hose that are that orangey nude color that just looks like someone else's tan, but totally weird on me. i think i've had in my head nude shoes looking like that on me =D do you think i could do a cropped blazer? would something with some structure would be more flattering or do you think a cardi would be better? what color, charcoal or navy maybe? haha, i'm hopeless!

@mrs. bird: I think silver would look striking (with your coloring), but I am also a huge fan of mixed metallics as well.

I am (naturally) very fair, too, and as long as the nude patent isn't too yellow/orange (more brown/pink), it should work really well with your skin tone . . . it doesn't have to be an exact match!

@TurtleDoves: aww, you just made me feel all mushy! Thank you for your sweet comment, it meant a lot coming from you, pretty lady!

@MsLipGloss: I've yet to venture into a nude shoe because I'm soooo fair, like translucent! :D so they'd never be a similar color to me, would it be weird to wear a 'nude' shoe that's someone else's skin tone? Do you think silver or gold for the necklace?

@MrsKoala: I hadn't considered a waterfall cardi with it... Hmm, that would the ultimate comfort option ;) I like the color too, it's pretty flattering on me since I'm really fair with dark hair.

That color is really in right now! Very pretty! You could do a really nice statement necklace with that neckline. I would go with something in gold. I think a gray/black cardi would look cute if you want some arm coverage. I have a cute black waterfall cardigan from Express that has been great with dresses like this.

I would pair this with metallic accessories (like a statement necklace) and nude patent pumps-or nude patent peep toe pumps--although a pointed toe will make your legs look longer and leaner. Nude pumps do a body good!

I love the dress! I think I'd do gray opaque tights and a matching cardigan. Your face is gorgeous so I really think that blue will make you look even more gorgeous!

Ooo maybe a light colored blazer? Like white or blush? Paired with nude shoes and then maybe a fun piece of jewelry in another bright color?

I bought a dress, mostly 'cause it's super comfy :D and I'm thinking all wear it to my mom's graduation this weekend. I need help accessorizing though.

The dress is royal blue (think Kate Middleton blue), a light jersey but looks a bit more substantial than it is, comes to ~1" above the knee, the top is cut pretty high and the bottom has some volume to it. It looks better on than it does on the hanger (as much as anything on my body could) :P I'm kind of a chunky monkey, so points for anything that will make me look slimmer. Also I have to wear something over it since its only gonna be in the upper 60s & we'll be inside.

And.... Go! :) (or suggest another dress if this one is totally heinous!)
