I recently cooked some food up for a friend who just had her second. I didn't have a ton of time to cook since I'm busy with DD, and her DS1 has a severe dairy allergy, so stuff I typically make new moms (lasagna, pot pie, casseroles) were out of the question, So I made some crock pot meals for her. I was really happy with how well they turned out and how easily they came together. I made chili and beef stew.

In both cases I seared the meat, onions and spices and just threw that, and all the other ingredients (uncooked) into ziplock bags and laid flat to freeze. So, all she needs to do is take them out of the freezer, let them thaw overnight, and then just throw all the contents of the bag into her slow cooker and turn it on.

My friend just had baby # 3 on Friday, and another friend and I are planning to each make her a freezer meal today to bring over tonight or tomorrow.

What is something easy? I'm a horrible cook. I basically have no ingredients on hand, so I'll have to buy everything probably. I want something that will for sure cook well after she pulls it out of the freezer :)

Thank you!
