My daughter was similar stats last year and wore 4-6. She could still wear them this year at more like 43 inches and 35 lbs, but I sized her up to 6-8 (after advice on this forum) and they're actually not crazy big.

My daughters similar and I would do 4-6t. She’s on the small end too but some dresses in that size were small! And some were large.

We did have to return one dress because it was comically large - I think it was tagged wrong. It looked l like it would fit a 10 year old.

DD1 is in 3/4T and the new 4-6 dresses I ordered fit her just fine. She's about 39" and 33-34 lbs.

I would definitely do at least 4-6. I got my DD a couple dresses there last year (when she turned 4)in that size and they pretty much all fit, and she was wearing 4t-5t in most brands. But there was one dress I had to order smaller because they didn’t have 4-6 and I loved it and that ended up being the biggest one of all.

ETA: you can probably shrink them a little in the wash if the are too big. I accidentally dried one of hers and it got a bit smaller.

I'd still get the 4-6Y. If anything, she can wear a camisole underneath or a cardigan on top?

I'm ordering my 5 year old DD some dresses from H&M and am stuck on what size to get! She's has some in 2-4Y that fit ok but are getting short and I want to make sure she gets plenty of wear out of them but I don't know if the 4-6Y will be too big... she wears a 4T at Carters and Cat and Jack and is about 33 pounds and 39-40 inches tall.
