@sunny: @Mrs. Bee: Thanks yes I am going to be slow about it and take my time. I love pumping just for the activity itself and of course get some BM. I think I might convince DH to go on post-pump vacation (he doesn't like travel), that might motivate me
@junebugmama: Thatz how it is for me. I might be busy but then I pump and get into my own zone.

i totally get it. i pumped until 15 months! but you know what it was awesome when i quit and i didn't miss it. you can still breastfeed after all. just take the process slow if you're not ready to stop yet.

I don't pump, but I still get it. There's something about providing something for your child that comes from you. For me when we're somewhere and I need a moment to get away (I get a little social anxiety) I really love the ability to walk away and steal a moment for myself to nurse my son.

I think that regardless of what you thought your goal or end date was, as long as it still holds a good feeling for you, then keep doing it. :)

I kind of know what you mean. LO is 13 months and I pump 1x a day right now. I originally thought I'd quit at a year since I really dislike pumping, but I think I'm going to keep going for awhile since I like being able to provide some breastmilk for her morning oatmeal.

I would say, if you enjoy pumping... keep it up. You can always keep feeding your LO breastmilk or donate it away if its no longer nutritionally appropriate. If you don't enjoy it anymore, then maybe that is the time to quit.

My LO is 6.5 months and I am down to 4 pumps/day. My goal was to BF for 6 months and enough BM saved for one year and I have reached both. I had originally planned to be fully weaned by the time LO turned 6 months. I want to wean but I have been putting off dropping another session for a few weeks now. Its just that I love pumping bottles full of milk for LO and the time is just mine where I am in a zen like state with rhythmic sound of pump. Sounds so weird writing this. DH is joking I will still be pumping when LO leaves for college!!
Anyone else felt this way? Not sure what I am looking for guess I just needed to say this. Its so hard I never thought I'd feel this way this in a million years.
