It's really not that time consuming. I did what @T.H.O.U.: at the beginning as well.

I didn't buy anything new. Just used a steamer I had and an immersion blender.

We steamed vegetables and used a food mill. The manual food mill (Oxo brand) was inexpensive, super easy to clean, and didn't take up valuable kitchen space.

After making up batches of food for the week, we froze in ice-cube trays and then transferred the frozen cubes into ziploc freezer bags.

We used to just bake/steam a bunch of fruits/veggies (sweet potatoes, squashes, peas, etc) and then put them in the food processor. From the food processor we put in the ice cube trays to freeze.

What was the diagnosis? I didn't see -- so I'm not sure if you need more specific recipes like dairy/wheat free --- but I had pinned this link and it seems really good - she has a little series on purees. I also was given a cookbook that was good, I can look up the name & let you know - but it seems better for bigger kid food.

Here's the link: http://fitnessista.com/2012/08/1-month-of-baby-food-1-hour-20/

I haven't made a ton of food, but am hoping to do it more -- I have made a few items, and just used my Cuisinart Food Processor, and steamed/baked items.

I also bought these to store food in:
http://www.diapers.com/p/oxo-tot-baby-blocks-freezer-storage-containers-2-oz-green-170058?site=CA&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=cpc_D&utm_term=ZZP-093&utm_campaign=GooglePLA&CAWELAID=1338685319&utm_content=pla&ca_sku=ZZP-093&ca_gpa=pla&ca_kw={keyword}

there may be better ones, I'd like to see what others say, but they work for now - they hold 2 oz of food.

With my DD's new diagnosis, I'm contemplating taking the plunge in making all our own baby food so I know exactly what she is digesting. But...I'm completely clueless on how to start, what the best tools are, ect.

I need convenience as I'm a WOHM and don't have a lot of extra time at nights. Ideally I would make everything on Sunday for the week. Let me know how you do it, and any gadgets you use to make it easier & quicker on yourself ! Thanks!!!
