My son does this too hes 22 months old. I just tell him that we don't have anything and I let him cry. I then turn the kiddy music from my iphone as loud as I can so I don't have to hear him. Eventually he quiets down to sing.

She likes to read books and play with her babies as well but that will only last for so long. Maybe I should find some toys that will hold her attention longer in the car. Thanks!

It sounds the best thing to do is first of all, immediately stop feeding her in the car. Secondly, find things that she can do while strapped in. My LO now will read books or play with her babies.

My 19 month old has a new favorite pastime of demanding to eat the second we get into the car. It is driving me nuts. All I hear is "eat, eat, eat!" And I cave every time or else she throws a fit. I think part of the problem is that she doesn't want to waste play time at home eating and wants to eat when she is strapped in her car seat with nothing else to do. I can even try to feed her before we go somewhere but she still wants to "eat, eat, eat!" as soon as we get in the car. What can I do to fix this? We have another baby coming in two months so I don't want to deal with this and a newborn at the same time. Thanks!
