I'm now slightly leaning towards the gray. DH says he'd much rather have the gray, although he initially loved the brown. I even had to convince him to go with gray. I guess I did a good job. Lol. I think it depends a bit on whether you think you'll be selling the place in the short to medium term and if not, also on your furniture. The brown will bring out warmer tones in the furniture - say if you have walnut or any sort of rich wood tones, it will pull those out really nice. I voted gray but I can see why people are saying brown (resale, etc.) However, it just depends on how long you plan to live in your home. Almost anything is going to be dated if you live in your home for 10+ years so I tend to say pick what you like and enjoy it.
