The part that drove us nuts was that they would blare traditional Mexican music, like mariachi/fiesta type stuff, for hours. Like you said, we'd be inside with the windows and doors closed and the TV on and still have it drowning us out. So my mom got a little bit...creative. She took a boombox outside, put in one of her Irish tenor CDs (although I imagine something like opera would be even more effective) and played that at full blast. I don't mind parties, don't get me wrong, but when I mean blaring, I mean: doors &amp; windows shut, A/C on, TV on and you can't hear your own tv, hear yourself think or have a conversation. We put in a complaint with our town and the by-law officer spoke to them, and told us following that to keep a log of issues. There is no by-law in place saying we can/should call the cops for noise.</p> <p>Fast forward to this year: So far, it's been great. Then this weekend, they've decided to start up again, but crank up the music 100 fold, AND give their kids (It looks like there are at least 20 kids in the backyard) a mic and amp to scream their heads off.</p> <p>What the hell can I do? They won't listen to neighbours, they obviously don't care about what the town says.
