I wouldn't go for the smell! Also the laundry situation seems better. Everyone keeps telling us we NEED our own washer/dryer but most apartments just simply don't come with them. We even went to a couple showings where the ad said washer/dryer in unit but it wasn't! If we wanted the neighborhood we preferred, it wasn't going to come with laundry...so I get where you're coming from with that! But outside in the cold sounds pretty bad... I maayy get one of those ones that hooks up to the bathtub though. Just down the hall.</p> <p>Not really. We live just outside the suburbs, where most people who live here own a house as opposed to renting. Half of the apartments are income restricted an we don't meet requirements and the other half are really outdated, gross or kinda ghetto.</p> <p>Anything that is nice (townhouses, newer apartments) is way more than we can afford.</p> <p>Sadly even going to a different city doesn't change much - it gets more expensive.</p> <p>And yes, I cloth diaper.. Neither of these seem ideal. I know people manage, but you could not pay me enough to trek across a complex in the winter with a baby to do laundry. And you do cloth diapers right?
