They don't damage as much as slate might, but they're still hard. The ones in the conference rooms are felt/metal and leather. The ones in the offices are just leather. I am trying to find a good balance between functionality and style. I know the thirstystone coasters are the most absorbent but none of them really suit my style. my top three options are Slate, leather and wood (bamboo)</p> <p>I love the wood look the best but it usually doesnt absorb at all. I havent had much experience with leather so I dont know how that holds up and I like slate because it is a somewhat absorbent stone but I have seen reviews about condensation forming under the coaster which would totally defeat the purpose of having it.
