We do 3 meals a day + a snack. Breakfast is usually fruit + oatmeal or Cheerios and banana. I feed DD breakfast at about 8:00 am (she wakes up and nurses around 7:00). She gets lunch around 11:30/12:00. With our nanny she gets a rough purée of leftovers (today was chicken, barely, and carrots from soup I made plus some extra peas) - I just mash things a bit. On weekends, she gets whatever I am having. She eats dinner around 5:30/6:00 and has leftovers. I usually try to give her a protein plus a vegetable. I keep a lot of things frozen so it's easy to pull her dinner together if there are no obvious leftovers. Tonight she is having leftover chicken piccata, broccoli, and butternut squash. I just make sure the pieces are soft and let her go to town. We also offer WCM with meals because we are weaning (started offering at 9 months). Some go-to freezer items are black beans, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, red beans and rice, broccoli, peas, blueberries, and applesauce. If you have a Whole Foods near you, their freezer section is amazing!

We have never had a food reaction, so DD gets whatever we have. I stopped cooking with salt when she started solids - DH and I just salt at the table, which has actually lowered our salt intake. I do try to balance her meals - at least one dairy and protein per day, and a wide variety of color in her fruits and vegetables.

My LO is just shy of 9 months old and is loving food lately! We have done BLW and he's tried over 20 foods so far (I stopped keeping track).
We haven't done official/regular meal times because our days vary so much. Some days he stays home and my mom watches him, some days he goes to my MIL, some days he's home with DH, etc. I am ready to start official meal times though and structuring things more.

LO has been CRAZY about food lately! He's eating so much, asking for more, wanting some of everything we have! I think that's means it's time for me to let go of control (I'm the only person who feeds him 90% of the time, DH the other 10%, I have made all of the decisions about what he eats, etc.) and start letting everyone feed him every day!

My question is HOW to start this? It feels overwhelming! A regular lunch time? Dinner? Breakfast? One food at a time, 2 or 3? How much? How much do I need to worry about "balanced" meals at this point? Help me come up with a plan!
Thanks :)
