@birdofafeather: she just doesn't go to sleep. She can climb out of the crib and open the door, so I can't really keep her contained to let her cry.

If she's tired enough she'll nurse to sleep or sleep in the stroller.

no advice as that sounds rough! what does she do to refuse a nap? scream and cry during nap time? or just not go to sleep? do you have to nurse her to sleep for naps?

She's just not tired enough to nap earlier, and even an hour nap messes with her bedtime.

Sigh, hoping it's a phase! Thank you :)

Is it possible to give her an earlier nap time? Maybe from noon-1pm? Or, let her nap at her usual time and then wake her after an hour? I hope it gets better!

LO is 20 months and has always had trouble settling down for sleep. She still needs help falling asleep and wakes up at night (still nursing and bedsharing).

None of that is a problem for us at the moment but her schedule is out of whack. She's been refusing naps for a few months. She usually gets up at 7 am. On no nap days, she happily passes out nursing around 6-7 pm. On nap days, she'll fall asleep around 1 or 2 pm and sleep for 1.5-2 hours. And then she won't get to bed until 10 or 11 pm. Nothing works to get her down.

I'm almost ok with giving up on naps, but she IS super tired some days and needs it. Or worse, she falls asleep in the car if we're out in the afternoon. Even a short car nap pushes her bedtime back till 10 pm.

Any and all advice welcome :)
