This just IS the school your kid is going to go to, so you're going to tell your child and yourself that this is about to be an AWESOME new experience that's going to be SO fun and there is going to be SO much new learning and you're just going to say that over and over every day, even if you don't feel like it at first, and over time you are just going to settle into YOUR preschool. Force yourself to find something to like about the school every day and just do it. That is SUCH a big thing when transitioning, knowing someone in the class. It's so hard to deal with change but it will be a little easier for him with someone he knows there. To love it - get to know the teachers, their philosophy. Spend some time there. Watch him interact with others there. It has a great ratio, excellent teachers and programs, a good mix of teaching philosophies, good location. They have no openings. I have tried everything.</p> <p>My newly turned 3 yo has outgrown his current in-home daycare/preschool. We have to go to our 2nd choice. The 2nd choice is bigger, has a comparable teaching philosophy, further away, and a friend that used to go to the same daycare.</p> <p>How do I change my feelings so that my 2nd choice feels like my 1st choice?</p> <p>ETA: 2nd choice is also more expensive. </p>
