@MaisyMay: Sadie is younger so I know I'm not the best person to chime in here, but she's already got 5 teeth & 3 more on the way! When she's about to cut a tooth she is almost exactly the same as your LO. She is an awesome sleeper normally, but she will wake up SHRIEKING when she's teething. It's so awful. I give her around 3ml of Tylenol & rock her and she sleeps the rest of the night. I'd try giving the Tylenol instead of the bottle & see if that helps!

@MaisyMay: my LOs 4 month regression didnt happen at all but the 9 month hit her really hard. I guess you won't really know until it passes what it is. No real advice but just some sympathy! Hope it passes soon. Sleep deprivation is the worst.

@MrsMccarthy: We use just a little of the Earth's Best organic. Thanks for the warning though.

Don't use the gel! It only works for a very short time and is not recommended for children under 2. Try Tylenol and hyland teething tabs. Top teeth are the worst

@SleepyMonkey: The really bad has been 3 days. Her 4 month regression lasted all of 2 days, so I really don't know what these look like.

Are you sure it is just teething? At around 9 months, my LO went thru a sleep regression that sounds similar to what you described. It lasted for a week and was horrible. How long has this phase lasted so far?

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I honestly don't know, as bad as that sounds. Sometimes she wants a bottle, other times she refuses it and so I use a little gel on her upper gums. Other times she doesn't want anything.
ETA: I'll try a little pain reliever then. I hadn't thought of that.

Is she waking hungry or because she's in pain?

Chloe had a rough time sleeping when she was teething. We would give her some Motrin (half a dose) to help the pain at night and it helped her STTN. She wasn't waking to eat, though. She wanted soothed and pain relief and would go right back to sleep.

LO is 9 months old, has a top tooth trying to come through.

Her sleep is horrible! She used to sleep 6-8 hour chunks, but hasn't in a long time, but the last few nights have been wretched. She'll go down around 7:30 and sleep 3 hours, wake for a bottle, and then usually go down for a few hours, wake for a bottle, repeat. For a while she was waking at 10:30, 2:00 and 5:00.
Last night she was up every 45 minutes to an hour. Sometimes she wants to eat, sometimes she needs a little teething gel or her paci, sometimes she's just grouchy. She doesn't just fuss a little, but wakes up shrieking. I finally got up with her at 4:00 and let her play in the living room so that DH could get some sleep. She played for an hour and a half before falling asleep for an hour, then awake again.
Why? What can I do? I miss sleep! DH needs more sleep. She needs to get more rest.
