I agree with a PP though, pick the name that you feel honors her best. My daughter has her grandmother's name as well. She had a very old-sounding, grandma name (Dorothy) but a middle name this is popular now (Rose). We considered using my grandmother's middle name as DD's middle name, but ultimately, I didn't have a strong connection linking the name Rose to my grandma. It didn't feel like an honor name to me. I am SO HAPPY we used my grandmother's first name as my daughter's middle name. Some of you may know my grandmother passed away two weeks ago. She was so excited for her first great-granddaughter, so I want to honor her by giving the baby a middle name from her. Her name was Rachel Lucille, so I am considering both. Thoughts with our first name of Abigail (Abby)? We're not sharing her name till she's born, so other than my husband, I can't get a lot of opinions. Thanks!! </p>
