@snarkybiochemist: Thanks!
I depend quite heavily on the timer function, I use it regularly to start cycles on the way home so the laundry is freshly washed and waiting...but sometimes I forget and it's not started, so having the ability to do it via the app would save a ton of hassle.

@snarkybiochemist: can you start it remotely, or does it have a timer feature?

We need to replace our washer, something is wrong with the start button.

@SKINNYCOW: @LuLu Mom: @Mrs. Pickle: Thanks! The fridge we just bought is a Samsung and the appliance delivery guy said that all of his appliances are Samsung. The first few we looked at online today were Samsung and they seem to have good reviews.

@snarkybiochemist: I'm kind of intrigued. What does the app tell you?

I love my LG top loader with the control panel in the front. It has a stainless drum and a million options and even is connected to an app

I also have a Samsung top loader and I love it! It's he and I don't think it uses too much water. I had a front loader and hated it. I'll see if I can find the exact model that I have.

We have this one and love it, I will never go back to a front loader for the same reason (and I though tit always had a dingy smell even with the clean cycle and leaving door open to dry out. We have the matching set - would skip the steam feature on the dryer...I'm not a fan and wish we would haven't spent the extra $150-200 on it. I use the soaker top a lot though (we do not have a sink in our laundry room so this works for us to rinse/soak)

We have this Samsung top loader with no agitator and have no complaints. It's pretty inexpensive too.

@2PeasinaPod: I'm not totally opposed if someone can vouch for a model that they use and like. This washer came with our house and I think was one of the early generation front loaders. I'm sure those currently available are better

I do love our LG front loader, but it sounds as if you weren't a fan of front loaders. I know they have a lot of energy efficient top loaders now and curious to see who loves what!

Our wash machine died this morning. I hated it, and I'm glad to see it go. Sure it's inconvenient that it died just 2 weeks after our fridge did, but we've got a shiny new Lowe's credit account now :meh: It was a whirlpool front loader and I felt like it never got our clothes especially clean. I ran everything with the max amount of detergent, on the whitest whites cycle with an extra rinse and I still didn't feel like DH's shirts every stopped smelling like his deodorant.

Does anyone have a washing machine they love? I loved our old top loader with an agitator, but realize that probably wasn't the best for water consumption, or our clothes longevity... but at least they were clean!
