I'd consider it in white as well but we just love the red and how it pops but doesn't look terribly kiddy. It is smaller than I expected but I am glad since I didn't want anything huge. My only complaint is that it scratches easily but I plan on contacting KidKraft and asking for touch up paint. The marks aren't horrible but they happened when my husband was assembling (for three whole hours!). We got it for my daughter at Christmas so I can't vouch for long term durability. </p>
