@skipra: I'm sorry!! I forgot to respond! It's from etsy and I actually ended up picking it and am very pleased with how it turned out. The seller has a ton of beautiful stacking rings and will make custom pieces.

@simplyfelicity: Absolutely number 4! It is so beautiful and unique, I have the same reservations about stacking as PP, but I also am not a fan of gaps. If you don't mind gaps, then get it! It is so pretty! Plus, as a July baby, I'm LOVING the rubies!

@illumina: mix and match! My blue and green stones go well together, but I also wear them separate with my own opal birthstone band or individually on their own.

I voted for #3, but I plan on getting something like what @illumina: posted for myself. Alternating between the birthstone and diamonds.

I like the #3. It looks a bit like the one I recently got to commemorate my Daughters birth (pink sapphires for her September birthday and diamonds).

I see @Foodnerd81: point though. I stack this one on my left hand with my wedding and engagement rings and the colour is fine because I wear a lot of reds and pinks and not too much clashes with it. If I had another LO with a birthstone colour I didn't like I'm not sure what I'd do...I'll cross that bridge when I come to it!

@simplyfelicity: I think the second one would work with almost any two birthstones- except January and July.

I got ruby earrings for C and kind of one a topaz ring for the new baby. Luckily topaz will be a lot cheaper. Or you could just plan for an April (diamond) baby :silly:

@Foodnerd81: I was just thinking about that...in an ideal world we would have another summer baby (alexandrite, ruby or peridot) which I think all would look good with the more pink ruby. But I know you can't really plan life like that.

On its own I like the last one best. With an eye towards stacking in the future I like the second or third.

Something to consider- what if you next LOs birthstone doesn't look that good with rubies? Like if you have a January baby, garnet next to ruby would look meh (I think). I have a July baby and the next is due mid December and I think those birthstones would just look ok together. So I say pick something you would be happy to wear alone and get something else for baby 2 if you don't like the stones together- but I still love the stacking idea if they go well.

If you remember er my previous thread, I was interested in a few rings from a jewelry store collection and it turns out they can't make it with rubies. Oh well...more scouring online. :silly:

Anyway, I have four more contenders that I like almost equally and figured I would ask HB. I want something in white gold and would prefer a "stackable" ring to add another with it in the future when/if we have LO #2. DH thinks I am looking too far into the future and should just get something I like now. I want something I will like for a long time and will be good for every day.

Which is your favorite?
