@BadgerMom: yeah, I just lose $400 for shipping, which isn’t too bad since I have had use of a couch since Thanksgiving.

Ugh! I hit a snag...I confirmed the loveseat specs on the leather U from USA and it’s smaller than my current U, which means an even tighter fit for my coffee table. I was able to visit C+B and the U is available, but it’s 11” longer than my current sofa. The loveseat part is wider by 5” and gives me a little more room for the coffee table. Now, I just have to figure out if I can live with an even wider couch.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: We have the Charley in Mushroom cross weave. It's more of a canvas-y type fabric. We've been happy with it so far, but we've probably only had it about 3/4 months, and it's in our separate tv room, so we probably only use it 3/4 times a week for a couple hours in the evening.

Is the static weave the fabric that is kinda soft/slightly fuzzy to the touch? I think I have one of those samples and wondered if it would pill. If we get another couch it will be for the great room that will get a ton more daily use, so I will definitely take that fabric out of my sample pile.

It is nice to see that they're standing behind their product and allowing you to return it, tho!

@BadgerMom: Maxwell U-shape in Static Weave Indigo. What’s yours? I’m so disappointed it’s not working out because I thought I did my homework on the sofa style and fabric.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: Sorry to derail, but can I ask what fabric and model you I/D sofa is? We have one that we like so far, and are thinking of getting another one, but I'd definitely like to know what model and fabric your having trouble with. Thanks :)

@krispi: the bottom pic is the kind of couch we have in our master that gets no use at all. I’m not sure if we are just not watch TV in a bedroom type of people or that we really think of it as a one person at a time couch. Anytime one of us is using that couch- to fold laundry mainly- the person is always sitting on the chaise side. I even added our leather storage ottoman from our last house. We used to prop our feet up all the time on it, but it holds the folded clothes. :meh:

Ooh the u-shape looks awesome but living in nyc, I can’t help but think it makes take up so much space! If you move, since you mention you might, do you think you’d still have room for it? That said I would loooove to have a chaise, and dh and I would totally fight over it if we only had one (though we watch like.1 hour max tv together at this point so not a big deal...)

@Littlebit7: C+B does, but I'd rather get cream knit poufs that will coordinate with my West Elm sweep chairs.

@PurplePumps: If we had our way we'd be gone by now. :silly: Seriously, we are very open to relocating.

@Foodnerd81: yes, I know the style of sofa you're referring to. It's very similar to the one I just sold ( I/D U replaced it). With the way our room is configured- entrances into the room and bank of windows I wanted less "sofa back" to visually open the space.

I'll have to try out skinny end table and sofa tables. I have sconces framing a picture behind the sofa, so all I need is place for drinks.

We have kind of a U shape- one end is a chaise and the other is like another love seat, if that makes sense. I love it, super comfy for lounging and watching TV. But being able to put a drink down on a table is pretty important. If not on a coffee table, could you get a skinny sofa table that goes behind the long part of the couch? We have an upholstered rectangular ottoman that we pull closer when we have drinks or whatever to put on it (on a tray that can also store on a shelf underneath it). And it’s super comfy for putting your feet on if you sit in the middle seats. But it definitely isn’t as pretty as the one you posted.

Does c and b make a matching ottoman? That way you could pull it up on one side creating a chaise.

What's the likelihood of moving? Is a smaller coffee table an option? They also have super skinny side tables too, or C shape tables (https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/wrought-studio-bonetti-c-shaped-end-table-vrkg1259.html) that tuck in nicely to provide a little extra table space. I like the U shape... after having a chaise to lounge on, I can't imagine going back without!

Pics below- caramel color leather from USA and my dining room guest chair next to the coffee table. I don’t have the C+B leather sample, but it’s very similar.

Current situation: We have a U-shaped sofa (two chaise lounges, with a loveseat in the middle) from Interior Define. The sofa is low to the ground, the fabric has pilled badly, and the cushions have not kept their shape. I am returning the sofa and really wish I could replace it with another sofa from I/D, but they don't have what I am looking for.

My requirements for a sofa are caramel/ cognac leather and deep seating (min 25"+). I am between two sofas and could use your help.

Option 1: Is another U-shape from USA Premium Leather. (pics attached is an I/D sofa to give you a feel for the shape and a dark brown sectional from USA Premium Leather that shows you the style of the sofa).

Pros of a U- everyone that lives in our house can lounge
Cons- makes it harder to use the coffee table close to the sofa b /c its 40" diameter leaves 9" clearance on either when inside the U. And due to the overall size of the couch 124" adding end tables extends the (open concept) room too much. This couch may not fit in another space if we move.

Option 2: Is a 3-seater extra long sofa. (pic attached is the C+B Axis II Grande in 105")

Pros- the couch is deep seating and even with feet up will be comfortable for binge watching. No issues with pushing up the coffee table as close as I want. No issues with fitting in end tables. If we move this couch will likely fit in another home.

Cons- No chaises to lounge. No additional edge of couch overflow seating. With this option I would probably get additional poufs.

DH is no help. He's fine with me getting another sofa, but has said two things: I like the U and that's a lot of brown.
