Good idea on airbnb! </p> <p>Just for the heck of it, I'm pricing flying out of my smaller town, and connecting in Houston (which would save us a 2hr drive, plus gas, plus parking) and its CHEAPER! Every city I try is cheaper by at least 100$!! As much as I don't want to change planes, I think it would be worth it to save the money on the flight + all the other stuff I mentioned. It might be more "walking along the beach without swimming" weather, but it's an option. (There's also Annapolis or Kent Island or St. Michael's if you want to be around the water).</p> <p>I'd also recommend checking out the website airbnb.com as an alternate to booking a hotel, as it can be much cheaper, and may be more convenient with a child (i.e., you can look for places with laundry facilities, you'd likely have a full kitchen, you could get multiple rooms if you wanted, etc.). We went to the zoo (free admission, pay parking) and she loved it. We did, too! We are both huge fans of the museums &amp; love walking around the city.</p> <p>We keep talking about moving there. Problem is, I really have no idea where to go. </p> <p>LO will be 8ish months at this point, and we will be taking off in March either Wed-Sun or Thurs-Mon. We live in Texas, so either coast would work.</p> <p>We went to San Diego/Orange County/LA as a couple last year and loved it, so I was considering going to one of those places....but then I thought D.C. would be fun... and so would NYC....</p> <p>Would any of you recommend a travel locale for an 8 month old? Bonus points for fun, cheap things to do! Would y'all recommend going somewhere we've been before, for the familiarity? </p>
