@bunnylove08: I'll start with a smoothie. This is a good excuse for me to get more fruits and veggies too. I've been trying to convince DH of our need for a juicer. I hate smoothies, but I love juice!

Blueberries are my guy's favorite thing in the world. I swear he and my husband went through a whole large carton yesterday while I was at work. I slice them in half or squish them on his tray and he loves them.

With other things he doesn't like, I mix (hide) into cottage cheese or sour cream, which he loves!

My kids love fruit smoothies made with greek yogurt and whole milk. They also love fruit/veggie puree pouches, but I save those for special snacks when we're out and about.

What kinds have you tried?
M loves peaches, hated bananas for a while buy will eat it if I give it to her whole, went through a apple dislike period until I slathered hummus on it. She also goes through phases where she refuses oranges.

I had this issue with S, he now will eat oranges at least, but I still make oatmeal fingers or Vegan Oatmeal Banana Pancakes. I will post the recipes.

Oatmeal Fingers:
1/4 cup each of quick oats and fruit puree (we have used apple and prune) with a touch of brown sugar and cinnamon spread on a plate and microwaved for 4 minutes

Vegan Banana Oatmeal Pancakes:
1 1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup coconut oil
1 1/4 cup Soy or Almond milk

Put all these ingredients into a blender and whirl until smooth, then add 2 bananas (the riper the better) and whirl until the bananas are completely incorporated.

Drop by 1/4 cup-fulls onto a griddle or pan and cook like regular pancakes.

S LOVES the banana oatmeal pancakes (and so do I!)

I make my LO whole wheat "pancake fingers". I use an organic whole wheat buttermilk pancake mix (the kind where you just add water), and I sub in fruit purees for the water (add in a teeny bit of water if the batter comes out too thick). Makes the pancake so freaking tasty, my LO loves these. I've used blueberry/apple, apple (with cinnamon sprinkled on top), cherry/apple and banana and she goes nuts for them all.

I've heard that sometimes new or fun shapes can make it more appealing? Using shape cutters

You could puree them and then freeze them into little bites, so they're easier to deal with. Freeze it like the picture, then once they are really frozen you can put them in a bowl or bag together without them sticking.

What about less sweet fruits like prunes? Grilled pineapple? Maybe if it's not cold/out of the fridge, it will have more of a food-type appeal to it? Grilled pineapple is way yummy.

What about sprinkling fruit with cinnamon to just change it up a little bit? Or offer it with yogurt to dip it in?

I realized w my now 2yo that its not worth the effort to try to get her to eat something, bc she would go thru phases when shed eat some things and not other things. Everything resolved on its own. One trick I still use now is to serve myself but not her. It makes her interested in what I'm eating. If you're worried about constipation, maybe just more water and some massage will do the trick.

What about a "cookie"? We make one from banana, quinoa flour and oil but you can get away with any flour (oat, millet, buckwheat, all-purpose) and just the fruit like banana or applesauce etc. and some water.

LO (10 months) is not a fan of fruit. She loves veggies, dairy, and grains, but fruit isn't her thing. I used to sneak them in purées, but she has decided that she's no longer a fan of that. She still likes fruit in her yogurt and oatmeal, but won't eat any by herself. I really want to make sure she gets some fruit because she needs help pooping... Meal planning for her is a delicate balance to keep things moving. Any ideas? I'd love any BLW/finger food recipes that you might have!
