@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I like them doubled up! I haven't bought anything yet. I don't *need* a garland necessarily, just really liked the colors/style on this one. I might still get them if I catch a really good price to compensate for how many I'd need (4-8 to line the ceiling on one wall, I think, depending on if I double them).

What do you think? Keeper (with some additional affixing tweeking) or Return?

@PinkElephant: what did you end up using for your garland?

I don't think the tassels themselves are too small if they're hung in the right place (like as trim under a book rail or decorative shelf of some sort)...but I do think the length of the garlands is a little short to be really effective. I actually admired these at Target and was about to get them for our play room, but put them back when realized they were only 5 ft long and it was going to take a LOT of them to get the look I was going for.

I agree that they are too small. Hanging them together like @Looch suggests might help!

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: In a gift shop at the Jersey Shore, lol.

But I think anything with a solid wood back would work.

@looch: I'm going to try doubling them up near the A tonight to beef it up a bit. LO is grabbing at the one above the dresser. Do you recall where you got the hooks from? We have a loose bear thing going and decorative bear hooks may work.

I was thinking that they need to be hung together, possibly with a decorative hook. I have a pennant garland in my son's room and I used two hooks with crabs on them and it looks much better than just tacked.

@Mamaof2: you're right! All of the tassel images I saw online are of longer tassels. When I enlisted the Target employee in helping me locate them I described them as fringe.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: My only thought is they are too short - I love tassels but prefer them to be nice and long!

I bought two tassel garlands for LO's room. I like the tassels- the natural wood beads helps me repeat that finish, but I'm not loving them. Maybe because no one else IRL loves them either. Is there a better set up? The room is not yet finished. Once it's repainted the animal photos will be hung in a straight line. Would that help? Thumb tacks are holding up the garland.
