@T.H.O.U.: Oh and if you ovulated that morning, you would hopefully show a positive the day before. :)

@T.H.O.U.: I don't know that I caught the start of O... I just know that say.... you only test every morning.... once every 24 hours.... you could miss the LH surge. Considering you can O 12-36 hours after a positive. So, if you only test in the AM and always get a negative, you could be missing the surge. If that makes any sense.... lol!

@Ash: I don't really understand this. How do you know that you caught the start of ovulation based on when you tested?

Say for example, I test at 5 pm each day. What if I actually ovulated that morning. Would it still show a positive OPK that afternoon? Or by that afternoon would it be negative already?

@Springtime: well, yes and no.
+ doesn't mean O is happening NOW but, it does mean you need to start BDing now. My Ob said something like sperm can live up to 7 days (if its healthy sperm) in the vaginal canal and deeper. So, I BD'd the day I got my positive, all the way until the night I got my negative....and then some;) I got pregnant the cycle I did that.

As far as what happened with you, you could have gotten the positive on sunday morning and ovulated that evening because it is 12-36 hours. Some people say only 12-24h. So, you could have been ovulating late Sunday and early Monday.

Yep, what they said. :)) 12-36 hours after the first positive.

I usually tested twice a day to be sure I didn't miss the surge... and it almost always happened in the evening. The month I got pregnant, I was using a digi to verify my positive wondfo. :))

@Mrs.Someone: @LindsayInNY: okay that makes sense! I thought when I got the positive that it means ovulation is happening now! TTC newbie!!

The positive means you're going to ovulate within 12-36 or so hours. If your positive was Sunday, I would assume you ovulated on Monday! Once I get a + OPK, any OPKs after are usually entirely white.

I would guess Sunday, but it could also be Monday. But sometime after the positive and before the negative of course! It doesn't really matter at this point though.

Its normal to only get one positive!

I've been charting and just this month decided to try an OPK (wondfo from amazon) to get a better idea of when I ovulate for when we do TTC.

I got a positive OPK on Sunday, I tested again Monday and it was negative. Also I had more ewcm Sunday and by Monday it was gone.

My question is, did I ovulate Sunday or Monday? And do you only get a positive opk ONE day? Any help is appreciated :)
