@PurplePeony: Try joining the FB group Tula Love. If you post a photo of what your carry looks like there they'll give you some tips :)

@PurplePeony: For a front carry I keep the clip right between my shoulder blades. I prefer it to be on the lower side but still high enough to reach on my own.

Don't give up on it! Once you get it adjusted properly I'm sure you'll love it. You also might want to join the Tula Love group on FB. They helped me with pointers when I first got my Tula. :)

@rahlyrah: I think my baby is too little for the back carry, but I'll keep that in mind for the future! I can't figure out proper placement on my shoulder blades for the front carry, though. I know there's a babywearing group website for my city, but it hasn't been updated in forever and most of the meetings seemed to be far from where I live (when they were having them). It's surprising because you see people wearing babies all the time here, I'd have thought there would be an active group.

1. I always wear the belt low on my hips. It is most comfortable for me that way.

2. When I do a back carry, I keep the chest clip right above my boobs.

I've never used an infant insert so I have no advice about that. I had a little trouble adjusting it when I first got it so I took it to my local babywearing group. Is there one near you?

I recently bought a Tula during the Abby's Lane sale LO is only a bit over 11 pounds so I ended up getting the infant insert, too (tried rolling up a receiving blanket but she didn't feel secure enough). I wore her out in it for the first time today and unfortunately it wasn't that comfortable. I'm hoping I just don't have it adjusted properly, but the instructions were pretty uselesson that, I thought. So I'm hoping someone can help!

1) the waist belt. I had it sitting at my natural waist and pulled it snug. But it felt like it was pulling on my lower back and it seemed like it would feel better a little lower on my hips. I did loosen it a little and that sort of helped, I don't think that's right, though.

2) the top strap. Where is it supposed to be? The photo shows it up high but that didn't feel good.

3) the side straps. How snug should it be, without squishing LO?

4) if anyone has the infant insert, where are their feet supposed to go? One of hers was sticking out along my side but the other was kind of tucked into the space along the waist belt. I couldn't get her to move them. She yelled a lot when I first put her in and I was afraid it was hurting her, but once I moved around a bit she calmed down and then fell asleep so I don't think it actually hurt -- I think she was just overwhelmed/cranky.

Between the carrier and the insert, this was a pretty pricey investment, so I'm really, really hoping someone can help me make it as comfy as everyone says it is!
