A sling is so comfy and so easy; it's just a tube of fabric that you fold in half the long way (I.e., "hotdog" way, or "into itself"). No weird longass fabric pieces like some carriers, no ribbons, cords, straps, clips, etc. Just a tube you fold in half, haha, easy peasy :)</p> <p>Not to be stalkerish, but I have several slings I don't use anymore (I went a little bananas at the consignment shop) that I would love to pass on to someone who could use them. They are too big for me/LO since I finally lost some baby weight; I'm now 5'3" and about 135. It is a bit overwhelming. But she has a patent on a specific type of shoulder that I wanted. I haven't used any of the Velcro type. The tail is useful for shade, nursing, you can tuck it under the top rail to support floppy newborn and sleeping heads, and having the tail means it's almost infinitely adjustable. I prefer a shorter tail, but some people like really long ones... The rings don't hurt at all. You can't feel them. We LOVE our RS! It's a linen sling from Sleeping Baby Productions. It's been our go-to since LO was about 10 months old. She prefers to be on my hip than facing my chest.
