To elaborate, I completely skipped cleaning for the most part. I had DH do the grocery shopping when I couldn't handle it (gave him a list) and had him pick up takeout more often than I'm comfortable to admit. DD learned that our TV will play more than 1 episode of Daniel Tiger a day.

I did what I absolutely had to do each day and passed the rest off to DH or 2nd trimester (didn't let myself feel too bad about DD going 3 days without a bath if she wasn't really dirty and she played in her crib if she refused to nap).

@knittylady: lol to all of this, and so true. Paw Patrol has definitely been my coparent a lot lately.

As others said, I just let things go. I did what I could when I felt up to it and I napped whenever I had a free moment. I don't even really remember - between the exhaustion and the throwing up, I think I skipped a lot of cleaning and cooking.

I just bought bagel bites in bulk to throw at my kids for dinner. DH likely won't be home until after bedtime all week/month/spring and I'm genuinely concerned about keeping us all alive at this point. Paw patrol is my co-parent.

@jedeve: Eating way more protein and making sure I Was well hydrated helped me a little. But mostly naps and going to bed early.

@jedeve: get help! I've had a terrible first tri. DH has picked up a huge amount of slack but he's getting burnt out. My mom has helped us a ton, and we've asked friends to help. If you can afford it maybe get a cleaner in a few times over the next few months so you can rest.

Agree with @Mrs. Pickle:. It's a short couple months in the grand scheme of things - be gentle on yourself! Hope it passes quickly for you

First trimester fatigue is always the toughest for me. How did you get your energy up? I'm trying to clean the house today (my inlaws have the kids) and I'm exhausted. My legs hurt, I'm out of breath. It's been a long, cooped up winter so I'm not in the best shape despite usually being fairly active. And with two kids, taking it easy isn't an option. What can I do??
