@Mrs. Bee: I put her in a sleep sack this morning. It was a rough start but she's sleeping!

@MsMini: @skibobrown: It's so painful to watch her on the monitor, especially since she used to be out like a light after 5 minutes in the crib. Now she just rolls around and cries if she gets stuck in a position she doesn't like. Groan!

once our LO could roll back to belly, we stopped swaddling cold turkey that night. I was so nervous, but it went better than I anticipated. We used a sleep sack for a few nights but realized we had a tummy sleeper... now she just sleeps in footed PJs.

We are totally in the same phase right now with our daughter! She's also 5.5 months and has started rolling in her sleep. We stopped swaddling a long time ago, so she's just in her sleepy sack, and she actually likes that a lot better than swaddling. Being in the sleepy sack isn't helping anything though with the rolling. She still wakes up screaming in the night multiple times b/c she is stuck on her tummy. Ugh. I always know immediately before even looking at the baby monitor that she is on her tummy b/c her "I'm stuck on my belly" cry sounds much more distressed than her normal "I'm awake and bored and can't find my binky" cry.

I have stopped swaddling Sawyer recently, because he is an expert roller, naps are funny to watch on the monitor, because he flip-flops around for a bit to get comfy. We use Perlim Pinpin bamboo sleep sacks at night (we got 2 as gifts), and they seem to keep him on his back at night.

LO started rolling over at 4 months, and he kept rolling over to sleep on his stomach. I had no choice but to get rid of the swaddle. So scary at first, but he slept much better. Also another recommendation for sleep sacks.

My LO just kept breaking out of the miracle blanket from the bottom and then the blanket would ride up to his neck. That got scary so I stopped swaddling the same night we moved him into his own room in the crib. He did amazingly well so far and seems to enjoy sleeping of his side now. He is almost 6 months.

You should stop swaddling once they're rolling. It takes them a couple days to figure out, but they all do it. And once they're used to sleeping on their tummies, they often sleep better.

How about a sleep sack?

That's when we stopped swaddling our LO. I was also scared to death of not swaddling, but surprisingly she did great!

Ugh, LO is 5.5 months and she finally rolled over from back to front. I have been swaddling her with one arm out and she has been fine until today! Right now she is rolling around everywhere in her crib (i just lightly swaddled one arm down in an a+a blanket so that she can still safely move around).

Does her rolling over mean the end of swaddling? I'm not sure what i'm going to do come bedtime tonight!

(okay, she is now crying because her she is face planted on the bed and doesn't know what to do!)
