I'm having trouble deciding what to do as well! We also have a cherry crib and a not so giant window. I think I'm going to try SW Simple White or Incredible White - which both read a little greige. If not maybe a light light blue.

For LO1s room I'm considering Benjamin Moore Violet Sparkle which is like a gray with the slightest hint of purple.

I should add too, it's a rental (and a tight budget) so we can't really do much in the way of changing anything. The trim is a light beige I think..and there's a LOT of it, so I don't know that I feel like tackling painting it, but I will it if looks terrible, lol.

sorry everyone!! yesterday got a little crazy. I did a sample of benjamin moore sterling on the wall (not sterling silver, i didn't know there was a difference?!) and it's definitely a light grey. I think I'm having trouble visualizing! I am planning on light colored sheets but wasn't sure if it would be too much grey.

all the pinterest ideas have huge sunny windows!

Our bedroom is navy blue with dark furniture and it works. We do have decent light coming in, especially in the early part of the day but I think the bigger help is bright white trim, white curtains and a light colored floor.

I think you can do gray with dark furniture if you are careful to keep everything else light and bright. If you like metallics they might help reflect some light and a mirror across from the window would be great.

Can you put white waincotting or beadboard around the room to lighten it up? My oldest's room is behr porpoise with white wainscoting. Here's a picture where you can see her dark bed against it. (Sorry for the blurriness)

How about a greige? Gray - beige will be light against the dark furniture.

I think light gray would look good with espresso furniture! Nice contrast. We have white furniture and light gray walls; I would have preferred darker furniture but am planning to combine the girls into one room as soon as #2 is old enough and figured their furniture should match.

I am really liking white nurseries with pops of color. Our kitchen, entryway, and hallway are all gray, so I'm avoiding gray in the nursery because I don't want everything to be the same color. But I think if you do a very light gray, it won't be too dark.

Can you do a light dove grey?

ETA : and lots of bright/ligh colored wall art, pictures, etc? That should help offset the espresso furniture! We have espresso furniture in our nursery too....we also have lots of pictures in white frames and pink curtains. Our walls are a dark taupe color (we never repainted) and I think it looks fine! You could even add some white baseboards and or white crown moulding and that would look nice too!

I wanted to go gray..but the crib and glider are espresso, and I'm worried with the small window in the room it'll be too dark and prison like.

The room is a good size, but only has one small window (slanted ceiling). I'm trying to avoid another pink room (or bright purple).

Help? I just browsed pinterest forever..nothin'.
