@SSLM i can sympathize - i get a tiny little cut in the same spot all the time, they heal really quickly (like a day) but still, very annoying!

Thanks everyone for responding!!

I've ruled out a uti. I got up close and personal and found the source of the blood which is a small skin irritation. A cut or something. I'm going to get my doctor to check it out tomorrow, but I'm not concerned. But ouch!!!

UTIs are horrible horrible things! I got them a lot when I was younger. The pain can get so unbearable you can't even sleep. Pressure on your bladder 24/7 and the urge to pee, but when you pee, only a few drops come out, and it burns when you do. Awful. You can get a prescription that clears it up in 24 hours. Go to your doc (OB) asap to make sure it's not a UTI!!!

I've had it a couple times - do you feel really intense pressure when you pee? Or (TMI) your urine can take on a distinct odor if you do have UTI becuase of the bacteria. My symptoms were alwyas the same - pressure right after peeing (painful but not unbearable), a different odor to the urine, and extreme feeling of frequency. The doctor can do a quick strip test for it and give you antibiotics which, literally, clears it up within 12-24 hours in my experience. Good luck!

Speaking from experience, drink as much water as you possibly can but I think that if you can hold out till your appointment you should be ok.

Hope you feel better soon!

Yes, definitely get to your doctor as soon as you can. A UTI can be so painful and you'll want to get on an antibiotic as soon as possible. Feel better soon!

@sslm: agh that makes sense. My husband is, shall we say, well endowed and sometimes I'll get a small tear from sex. And that can definitely make peeing sting for a couple of days until it heels. If you don't show other symptoms of a bad UTI (frequent urge to go, fever, back pain) then it probably is just the cut/irritation and I would say that can wait to be checked out by your doc on Tuesday.

I've had a few, some worse than others. If I had an appointment on Tuesday, as long as I didn't have a fever, crazy back pain or vomiting, I'd try to take an over the counter analgesic, the kind that doesn't turn your pee neon though, and chug water & pure cranberry juice. I can't take most antibiotics, so I try my best to avoid them. But if gets worse, I'd def call because it sucks so much worse once it gets to your kidneys!

That said, if you have time tomorrow or don't think you'll be able to do anything because you're uncomfortable, go get checked as soon as you can. Hope you feel better soon!

If it is a UTI it can back up into your kidneys. All you do is give a urine sample and ask for Macrobid which is safe for TTC/pregnancy. Best of luck!

Ok so upon closer inspection with a hand held mirror and my reluctant husband, it seems I have some kind of irritation down there... Like a cut... Not sure if I should be concerned about that but I assume it can wait until Tuesday... I just can handle another problem... Ugh

@sslm: If its at the point where you have blood in your urine absolutely don't wait until Tuesday. See if your doc can squeeze you in tomorrow morning and if not go to a walk in and them see your doc Tuesday.

Ok so I started my period last Sunday, making today CD8. I think I might have a UTI, but I have never had one before. I am having discomfort and bleeding, which I thought was just my period lasting forever, but now it's (TMI) burning a bit when I pee.

I know I need to see my doctor, and I have an appointment for Tuesday for my yearly physical. My question is, should I go to a walk in sooner or am I safe to wait for my appointment??? Please help!!
