@MenagerieMama: Snacks are a really good idea. I am pregnant and I get legitimately hangry. Like I become a different person Since I stay home I usually end up taking it out on my kids, which really isn't fair, and I get really upset with myself if I scream at or around them. I noticed it was way worse when I was hungry so now I make sure I always have a granola bar in my purse or some of my toddler's gold fish.

If I have a particularly ragey day then I try to give myself a pep talk the next morning before I get out of bed. I guess it's cheesy but I try to set an intention for a better day and to be more patient.

I was also ragey. I was never this way until pregnancy and kids. I hate it. The only thing I could suggest is exercise..?. But mostly just understanding. my opinion is that our bodies and minds are hijacked by pregnancy/hormones and every day it's a struggle to rein in the hormonal storm going on. Solidarity.

@JennyPenny: excellent question and I’m defintirly worse when sleep deprived. But I have been sleeping better the past week (after getting over 2 weeks of illness) and make getting to be early a major priority. So for better or worse I don’t think that helps :bummed: I also get really hangry (am I just a toddler again?!) so I’ve actually been making sure I have lots of snacks and some juice actually for when my blood sugar feels like it’s tanking.

@MenagerieMama: Are you getting enough sleep? I find I'm my worst when I'm tired and that's when I'm least able to control my own feelings. And being pregnant sure doesn't make it easy to get sleep.

I’ll keep this short - pregnancy makes me a b—— to my loved ones, mostly my poor husband but I also have less patience with my 2 kids, though I’m much better about tempering that. I’m 17 weeks with #3 and I’m tired of raging sndbgrtting into useless fights. We have a decent amount of high stress things going on (selling a house across the country) and I basically run most of the household and am the breadwinner and primary parent. But it’s also not really an excuse to be so ragey.

How can I do better? In the moment I just can’t scale it back and I’m a decently stubborn person at baseline which doesn’t help.
