@akcoffeebean: @MrsSRS: @travellingbee: Thank you! All of your suggestions seem to be working. I skipped meetings this morning, iced, did the bath and epsom salts, and am wearing the support belt. Still not feeling great, but I think I may just be able to make it through my 2 hour class tonight!

Ditto the Epsom salts baths. And you can alternate ice and moist heat. But use a heating pad only on low.

Definitely a chiropractor. And some warm baths with a lot of epsom salts.

I'm so sorry! I did that this week too and it hurts so badly.

Aside from ice and rest is there any way you can get into a physical therapist this week? Your OB should know of one who works with pregnant women. Mine did a therapeutic ultrasound where the US waves "massage" the ligament and surrounding tissue. She suggested that I see a chiropractor in a few days because a tweaked ligament can lead to joints being pulled out of whack.

Hold the palm of your hand to your belly when you cough/sneeze/laugh. If you have a belly support band make sure to wear it. And if you can get in the tub or pool this week do it! Let the water take some of the weight off so the ligament can rest more.

I am so so sorry you're dealing with this. It's miserable. If you're still in pain tomorrow and not able to rest you might ask about prescription pain medication. My OB was ok with me taking Vicodin or Percocet so I could get enough pain relief to sleep. She also prescribed ambien so I'd get a good nights rest too.

If it hurts to stand, do what you need to do and take a sick day if you can. I hope you feel better soon and I hope other bees can chime in with advice about what worked for them.

I am 30 weeks pregnant and slipped on a wet sidewalk today. I didn't fall, but I am almost positive I pulled my round ligament in catching myself. It was a pretty intense pain on the side of my groin/uterus. I called in to the nurse's line, and she seemed to think so too. She told me to rest and take tylenol. I couldn't move most of the day and just stayed in bed. I stupidly went to a three hour long work dinner, and I literally almost couldn't make it out of the restaurant I'm in so much pain. Has anyone dealt with this? Any tips on pain management? I don't know how I will teach tomorrow. Ugh.
