@HLK208: I hope we're as lucky as your friends!

@IRunForFun: I wouldn't wish this phobia on anyone, I have a full on panic attack (like I pass out) when anyone is sick near me. I hate it so much!!

@Bookish: & @blackbird: I'm so hoping we're in the clear with it being over 48 hours. I will feel relieved after tomorrow. I've been at work and my dh has been home with our lo all day (he's on vacation) so as soon as I walk in the door I'm sanitizing. I did mop the floors after they left, so I guess that's one plus. I'm usually the one that sanitizes after every child, but for some reason I didn't do it this time, ugh.

It's spread hand to mouth so sanitize everything and wash your hands! It can live for a few days on surfaces

E and DH just had it and I believe that I have been spared....

Oh gosh, I hope y'all stay healthy! LO brought it home from daycare last week. One day they were all healthy and the next 4 of them were home sick with the virus. It's the nasty bug. That being said, it kicked in for me within 48 hours (like, to the hour) that LO had it, so if you're past that, you're probably ok. Lysol just to be safe ;)

You poor thing! I share your phobia so I know what it's like to panic about it. But I believe it's mainly spread through feces and vomit particles, so unless you changed their LOs diaper or she pooped and put her hands in her diaper or whatever, I think you'll be OK. And even if she had done that, she may not have been contagious yet. And finally, it's been more than 48 hours since they were at your house, so you should be in the clear.

We saw a group of friends with LO's a few weeks ago, the next day DD had norovirus. None of their LO's got it which was amazing. My family got it though (no fever with it). We all shared food/water bottles the night before. It could just be a stomach virus but I would Lysol everything anyway.

Okay disclaimer - I'm a huge germaphobe and I have a phobia of throwing up.

We had some friends over Saturday evening and the Mom told me their lo took an extra long nap that day. They were over for about 3 hours and played with our lo and her toys, but ours was tired and went to bed about 2 hours before they left. There was spilled milk and a lost binky, cleaned with hot water/soap.

Fast forward to Monday their lo is home with a high fever and throwing up, repeat today and the Dad has it now.

From what I've compulsively read it has a 48 hour incubation period and isn't spread through saliva (milk/binky).

Would you be worried? I'm having a panic attack over this!!
