The toilet is on the opposite side, so it's not possible to get in on that side. I've always gotten in and out by the shower head though! I never really go on the other side of the shower. For several reasons. Technically that's the only real option in the apartment we're in now because the toilet is next to the tub at the front where the shower head is, so to get in that way I'd have to go around the toilet.
