Fertility Friend had a tutorial on temping, they had more information on shift work that I noticed, but I didn't read since it didn't apply to me. You can sign up for the first month free and go through their tutorials and boards to get the information you need. I liked it so much that I got the full year's membership.

Technically it won't work well, but I wonder if you could just chart either your work days or your non work days. It would be way less accurate because you won't have a temp for every day, but you might be able to learn something...

As far as I've heard, you need to take your temps after three solid hours of sleep (at the very least, if not more). I suppose, if you are getting three hours of sleep at roughly the same time every day (even a nap), it MIGHT be possible, but probably not. There might be someone out there with more insight on this - sorry I couldn't really help.

Is there anyone else out there who works shift work ... Mainly nights who charts your BBT. I'm moving into cycle #3 and thought maybe I should start temping .... But I'm an RN and work 7p to 7a three to four days a week. I don't have a normal sleep cycle what so ever... Some days I only nap others sleep through the day while others I sleep at night. I would never be able to check my temp at the same time daily. Help please... I don't know how this would work out.. If it would even be accurate.
