It may or may not make you feel better to know that my 21 month old played for two hours in his crib before finally passing out. Of course now I have to go wake him or he will do the same thing tonight. This is a recent development. It does not happen every day and I hope this phase passes quickly.

We just spent over an hour trying to get our 21 month LO down for her nap with no success. Over the past two weeks we have shifted from rocking to sleep to falling asleep in her bed and things have been going fairly well at night.

Naps are a mess. She will lie down briefly but won't stay down and starts playing. I will leave the room when she does this after a warning but even after leaving her there for several minutes of crying she does the same thing. We have a floor bed for her so she sometimes crawls off and bangs on the door. She doesn't act tired but I know she is because she woke up super early.

Any advice? Words if wisdom ? Commisseration?
