Also, just leave it alone for a few hours. The constant effort of trying to yank it off makes your finger swell.

Here's a pretty helpful video I've seen. Maybe that'll work? http://survivallife.com/2013/08/26/sneaky-medical-trick-that-helps-remove-a-stuck-ring/

I usually do like @Dandelion: and raise my hand up for as long as needed. If it's really bad, I soak it in a tub of ice water (elevated above my heart, if possible) at the same time, and twist when I'm removing it. Good luck!

Might be a long shot but the brewer diet is widely respected by birth professionals (midwives and obs alike) and their recommendation is actually to increase protein and salt intake because when you drink so much you throw your electrolytes out of whack. You can read more here: http://drbrewerpregnancydiet.com/id35.html

I would totally try the other stuff first though.

Are used to work in a jury store and when it rings would get stuck on people's fingers we will use Windex and or soap and don't just try to pull it off you have to turn it around while lifting basically twisting it off your finger :goodluck:

I second the freezer/ice trick! My rings are always looser when my hands are cold. Also, women have been known to lose engagement rings when swimming in cold water.

@Jessica922: I tried everything but had to give up. Though my ring was stuck, it wasn't actually cutting off my circulation. So I left it. It was tight and annoying, but fine. This time around I'm going to take it off early! :)

@2PeasinaPod: I'm drinking around 99oz a day (three 33oz bottles). I don't know if I can consume any more!

@swurlygurl @Mamaof2: Its true! I heard about it too. I tried it also but the smell got to me.

When you say you're drinking a ton of water, how much is a ton?? I had minimal swelling when I was pregnant with LO, and it was because I was drinking anywhere between 80-120 ounces of water every day. The days I did swell were because I drank less than 80 ounces. Give yourself a week of drinking at least 80 ounces a day and try again?

Can you take it off in the shower after you're done conditioning your hair? That's always when my rings were the loosest and slipperiest.

I had to take my ring off last week and put it on my pinky finger :( I was starting to get sores under the ring from pretending that it wasn't too swollen - I feel your pain!

Hi bees, I'm 34 weeks and my wedding band is totally stuck on my swollen finger! I've tried everything from soaking my hand in Epsom salt to slathering every type of oil and butter I could think of. I read that Preparation H would help the swelling go down but that was to no avail. I am staying away from salt and drinking a ton of water and nothing seems to be helping. Does anyone have any old school remedies for a girl who really doesn't want to have her wedding band cut off? TIA
