My husband likes names that are very unusual/unique. On the other hand, my main criteria is that I want the name to be easily recognizable as a name and something people where we live (U.S.) will know how to pronounce (and ideally how to spell!) People already get confused about how to spell/pronounce my husband's last name, and I don't really want to saddle our kid with that for first name as well. We do agree that we want something that is at least two syllables. Last name is one syllable. </p> <p>In considering random lists of names, the closest we have come to something we both like okay - but neither of us loves - is Quentin. DH thought it was somewhat unique because of the Q and interesting b/c of Quentin Tarantino. I like it because it's a name and not hard to pronounce :silly: </p> <p>Other ideas??? </p>
