My friends 5 year can unbuckle herself in the frontier so it’s possible! I think that part of it is that I chronically over tighten all of my children 🙈 But I also read that of the Frontier is flush to the back of the vehicle seat, it can make it hard to tighten (which makes sense). I need to check how our’s looks! </p> <p>@Foodnerd81: DS1 is in the third row and I have two younger boys that buckle/unbuckle so it was a huge help when he could do it himself! She can definitely get the straps on and off her shoulders without lossening them. We just leave the harness the same tightness and my 4.5 year old does fine getting in and out of it by himself. He was buckling/unbuckling himself in his Chicco MyFit thanks to the UnbuckleMe tool but is having a hard time in the Frontier because the harness loosening mechanism thingie is basically kid proof. Anyone know of a tool (similar to the UnbuckleMe) or something to help him loosen the harness? Or ideas? I’m trying to convince him he doesn’t actually need to loosen/tighten every single trip but 🤷🏻‍♀️ </p>
