Black capris, flats and a business casual blouse with light cotton blazer. It's technically business formal but also comfortable for the situation.

If it were me I'd do ankle skinnies/trousers, a cute tank or blouse and a cardigan. Or a lightweight sweater. And cute flats. Something like this:

I'd wear a suit, always better to over dress. You aren't going to be shooting for hours, so I don't think comfort while shooting would be my priority. Maybe have a nice short sleeve blouse on in case you need to, or feel comfortable removing your jacket.

Khaki, olives, eggplant all would work. You may see some bright Tommy Bahama shirts in Naples, but for the most part Floridians use the calendar and a slight chill in the air to get all "wintery."

@ElbieKay: eh, you're not living down there. You're just going for a visit. You don't need bright prints or anything. Just wear what you are comfortable in and if that is dark colors, wear them. I used to travel for work a lot and would end up in warm places (in February) and always just wore my black, navy and chocolate pieces since that's really all I own!

@ElbieKay: I would wear a suit with a jacket, but with a lightweight (probably sleeveless) shell/shirt underneath that, when your jacket is off, is still dressy. I wouldn't wear too high a heel . . . you don't want to lose your balance when the gun recoils (kickback).

Ooh dress up time! The weather will likely be cool. I would layer a camisole under a henley long sleeve shirt. Tuck the shirts in under form fitting pair of chinos or cargo style pant with and use a belt to keep it all neat. Or if you'd like to hide your tummy a bit then don't tuck in the shirts. Depending on the your slacks where a sporty military style/ motorcycle boot or more casual stacked heel boot.

@Anagram: hahaha!!

@ElbieKay: It sounds like any of your normal outfits would be fine then. I would maybe avoid tight skirts (unless they have a lot of stretch) so that you can get a good "stance".

@T.H.O.U.: I often avoid jackets in favor of dresses and cardigans. I have broad shoulders so it is hard to find jackets that fit me well. And since I work for a tech firm I can get away with being a little less formal.

I have 0 experience with real life shooting range, but TV cop dramas with hot female detectives have taught me that you can wear anything to a shooting range, including high heels.

In your case, I would just wear something like Ponte pants, flats, and a button up/cardigan or something like that up top. Something you can move your arms in. Although in Olympic shooting they wear super tight jackets to help keep their arms still. :silly:

@T.H.O.U.: I think it's indoor but not sure. Yes I will be shooting (and I have zero experience with shooting anything other than skeet/trap, but I might be able to get a lesson from my husband before the event). And normal client event attire is upper end of business casual or lower end of formal business attire.

I work at a financial technology company in NYC.

In February, we are hosting a marketing/sales event for some prospects at a shooting range in Florida.

How the hell am I supposed to dress for that?? What does one wear to a work event at a shooting range?
