Meowsic cat keyboard, a bunch of Fisher Price toys like the doctors kit, camera, laptop, remote control, and an Elmo iPhone looking toy. If he needs a bike, we buy it in the season he needs it, not for his December birthday or Christmas. So don't feel like you have to get it all in one part of the year!</p> <p>What about a pass to a kids museum, aquarium, etc? If you are. Doing swimming, what about asking grandparents to gift those lessons? For first birthday and that Christmas she got a play kitchen, anywhere chair, various blocks, little people bus, musical instruments, lots of books, and other various small toys. Most of those gifts were from our family. She loved the chair from day one and still uses it daily. The play kitchen was ignored until about 18 months but it is now a favorite! </p> <p>With a birthday so close to Christmas we try to ask for things that will be interesting for the whole year, it's actually a good thing to me that it took her awhile to warm up to some of the toys. Both were some of the best investments we've made. We were given a slide and trampoline around then too and they have also been huge hits. My kiddo turned one last week, and current favorites are stacking toys of any sort, activity table, play kitchen (we don't have one, but my parents do, because they have more space), ride on toys, small baskets she can carry stuff in, fridge magnets, little people barn, wooden peg puzzles, and all books.</p> <p>Family gave her books, clothes, bath toys, a ball pit, and dolls for her birthday.
