We left the belt inside the armrest on the same side as the shoulder belt, if that makes sense. So she only had to get it under the other armrest. I do think it takes practice and pulling out a lot of slack, we helped less over time. </p> <p>If it’s a flexible buckle, there’s something you can buy that will hold it up/steady. Maybe that would help? I don’t know much about them so do your research but here’s an example. They are Britax harness to booster seats. In his truck, it is set up with the seat belt. When she tries to get the seat belt across, it gets tangled in the arms of the seat. Then, the buckle sinks down into the seat of the truck (2005 Toyota Tundra, full size). It is a miserable experience. </p> <p>Carpool is the worst.
