@keiki_mama: Yup definitely blows! Hopefully it will pass soon although I do enjoy the snuggles.

@NovBaby1112: I'll have to give that a try! Hopefully the calming activities will help as they are full of beans and running around all crazy like at bed time.

I'm a lucky mom this weekend tho since my SIL took the twins so my hubby could have some much needed time together and sleep! Yay!!

@littlehunny: ok, so we just went throught the exact same thing with my LO who is also 20 months. Climbing out of crib, so we had to move her to a floor bed. The first 2 weeks were ROUGH. Fighting bedtime for 1-2 hours, and waking up very early. I've made a few changes to her routine and bedtime that I think have helped a bit. She used to go to sleep between 7-7:30pm, but now we put her in her room around 8/8:30pm, she is more tired and falls asleep usually within 30 minutes, which is much better than 1-2 hours. We do very calming activities an hour before bed. Bath, then read some books in her room, dim lights, draw blinds in, and give her a bottle and brush teeth. I have to lay next to her for her to fall asleep, but I don't mind when it's only 30 minutes.

I'm on the same boat as you! DS is 27 months and now sleeps in bed with me though it still takes him an hour to fall asleep. Seriously, wtf. This blows!

@littlehunny: I'm in the same boat as you, unfortunately. If I don't rock my DD to sleep and put her in bed, she will not go to sleep. She just plays, then screams for me. She too climbed out of her crib...I thought we had more time!

Oh i was hoping this would happen so much later than it is lol.

On Monday one of my 20 month twins climbed out of his playpen during nap time. Later that day while my DH and I were in the room L demonstrated to us how easy it was for him to get in and out. I don't want him to hurt himself so I'm guessing it's time to move him into a bed.

I took off the rail on their cribs and turned them into toddler beds. Both boys were on the floor in the morning so I've moved both of them to floor beds. They are now taking more than an hour to fall asleep at night and naps have been a disaster the last few days. We do the same routine we did before changing their beds, but they are so excited that they can run around that they aren't going to sleep.

I tried keeping the crib together and dropping the mattress to the floor, but while I was getting this all set up E wiggled his way through the bottom of the crib and was out! I've tried snuggling with them, but they are so wound up that they just want to run around. So they run around until they're done and put themselves to bed.

They are also waking up crying in the middle of the night now when they used to sleep right through and they won't go back to sleep unless I'm in the room with them.

I get that it's a big adjustment for them, but I'm tired and they are too. Help please!
