Thanks for the responses. I'll pass the suggestions on to DH.

@Maysprout: I'll try to do a better job of staying out of the room. I make a big effort to stay away when DH video chats with his parents so I know that stratgey works for us in that instance.

I get out of the house or out of the room. DH takes care of at least part of LOs bedtime during the week and I am not in the room for that. He's had to travel some recently and had a busy schedule and it impacts how she interacts with him but luckily he doesn't get offended and knows how to distract her or comfort her until she's ready to play and as she gets older the time away impacts her less and less and she doesn't need much warm up time.

I felt that way too at first! I eventually tweaked my parenting style, and Charlie really responded!!

One thing we did was to send DH in to pick LO up in the morning when she would wake for her first feeding (so that she would hopefully associate DH more with the idea of comfort). It really helped! She is still solidly Team Mom, but it's much better than it was before.

LO is almost 7 months and has been so clingy to me lately. She's happiest when she's in my arms, pulling my hair, and making out with my face. While I'm getting more attention than I need DH is feeling left out. He keeps asking me if I think she loves him. He's obviously feeling regected.

What does your partner do to feel included when LO is team mom?

DH gets home right before bedtime Monday-Thursday but watches LO all day Friday on his own. I'm hoping for some words of wisdom or suggestions for tomorrow.
