@banana: I am guessing not, cause it is a blanket. I haven't asked but I will.

@Smurfette: Really? Daycare won't be allowed to give it to her? Our daycare allows it and it's been a huge help in the transition process. I would keep trying (at home). It took my DD 2 weeks to really get into her lovey.

@banana: A&A security blanket. I will keep trying. I think part of it will be day care won't be allowed to give it to her so maybe it is better she doesn't like one. I don't know.

@Smurfette: It didn't really work at first for me either. I'd put it near her and she would ignore it or push it away. But every time she slept (bed time, nap time) I just held it near me while I rocked her. And brought it with me when we went out (stroller naps). After maybe 2 weeks or so, she started reaching for it and they're inseparable now. What kind of lovey are you giving her? Some babies aren't into stuffed animals and prefer more of a blanket-type of lovey. I tried the angel dear lovey but she wasn't that interested in it. So I changed it to the Aden security blanket and she really got attached to that one.

@banana: How did you intruce it? I keep trying to get R to play with her, put it by her to when nursing and nothing works.

Have you introduced a lovey yet? My DD was resistant to naps until I introduced a lovey. I started out by having her sleep with it at night. And then I would have it in her crib for her naps. Eventually she associated the lovey with sleep so I can lay her down in her crib, hand her the lovey, and she'll fall asleep. I haven't nap trained so I don't have advice on that. The lovey was a huge help for me though. We used the Aden + Anais security blankets as her lovey.

I have no problem getting Isaac to bed at night. He will settle in and go to sleep at night.

In the day for naps is a whole other story. He will be drowsy or asleep and I put him in his crib and he just wakes right up. Then there is no hope of rocking him or anything. Then we end up with a cranky baby. He will sleep if I just hold him, but I can't do this forever, he is almost 6 months.

Help, advice? Am I going to have to nap train?
