Plastic surgeons? What? Why?! I think they're supposed to go away on their own between one and three years old... DS still has one at nineteen months, but it's been fading.

Yup - I think it started to show up around a few wks old. Idk when it peaked. One her chest, About a nickel size at it's worst. Then another small (pencil eraser) sized one popped up on her forehead and a teeny one on the inside of her knee.

Started to fade around 14 months? It's totally flat now and still splotchy but insane how fast it started to disappear. She's 21 months.

E has one on her butt cheek and it's still there at 14 months. It's less noticeable; our ped says they usually go away by the time they're a year old.

My DD has one on her cheek. It was a tiny faint pink dot when she was born but by 4 weeks or so it was dark reddish-pink and got bigger. I'd say it peaked by 9-12 months (I can't totally remember exactly when) and has slowly been fading since then. She's 22 months now and it is significantly lighter but still there. Our pediatrician says it will continue to fade over time. We are going to see what happens over the next year or so and maybe get a dermatologist to take a look when she gets a little older if it is not gone/almost gone. But it is noticeably lighter now.

Anyone have a LO with a hemangioma? Or more than one?

When did it reach a peak and how long did it take to resolve? Did it actually go away?
