@T.H.O.U.: belly/side... like near the tab. He is a side/belly sleeper now. We do velcro BG 4.0s at nighttime and the more I stuff it, the more difficult it is to get a good fit :( Maybe I should just switch over to my snap 4.0s at night too.... I don't change him at night anymore so the velcro vs. snaps doesn't matter in terms of accessibility.

Yes you can skip the MF but that is the risk. But I would try like you said and just do one MF and two of the hemp layers.

What kind of leaks are you getting? Belly leaks?

For nighttime we do bamboo and then hemp on the bottom. Just make sure you have one quick absorber on top of the hemp!

I always put our hemp liners under the microfiber inserts.

I'm experimenting with different nighttime solutions. I have these thirsties duo inserts where it is 2 layers snapped together - one MF, and one hemp/cotton blend. I tried 2 of them together (so 4 layers) plus a bamboo insert I have, but it was so bulky. Could I maybe just use the hemp/cotton layers and ditch the MF altogether, or will he pee "too fast" and the cotton won't soak it up as readily? I feel like I've read that materials like hemp and such should always be paired with MF bc they absorb more slowly than MF?
